Money is what makes the world go round. People are always hunting for new ways to earn money, and new ways to increase their present salaries. Six sigma is a strategic quality improvement method that enables businesses to decrease the amount of products that they waste, while increasing their corporation’s revenue. The earning potential with a Six Sigma Certified designation is one of the primary reasons many employees are willing to enroll in Six Sigma Training.
Statistically, an employee that has obtained one of the certifying belts in this strategy will be twenty to thirty percent more beneficial to a corporation than an employee that does not have this certifying paperwork. Because the employee is able to offer more to the organization with which they are employed, their salary will reflect the additional skills that they have earned. An individual who holds a Six Sigma Certification can earn anywhere from five percent to fifteen percent more money based upon their level of knowledge, experience, and expertise. The strategy has a tiered leveling system. Instead of the levels being given physical names, they are given belt colors.
There are four primary belts that an individual can obtain. These belts are, from lowest level of expertise to highest; yellow belt, green belt, black belt, and master black belt. The higher the belt level certification, the more skills an employee has to be able to give back to the organization that they work for. When an employee can give more to an organization, they are awarded in the form of a salary increase.
Not only can possessing a Six Sigma Certification help an employee that is working for a specific corporation, but it also opens other doors for that employee as well. The employee will be in demand within the job market. The skills that they possess will be something that many organizations want in the employees that they hire.
This opens up new opportunities for people that have taken the steps to become certified. However, be aware that if your present employer paid for you to become certified, you may experience some roadblocks, if you decide to take the certifying information with you to a new company. Companies can be hesitant to let a good employee go.
If your employer has not paid for you to be certified, and you decide to do it on your own accord, this is actually a good thing. Even though you will need to pay to take the course and pay to become certified out of pocket, you will be able to take the information with you, while applying for other jobs. Being certified will increase your employment prospects.
The earning potential with six sigma certification is higher than for someone who has not been certified. Your employer should be willing to increase your salary, every time that you obtain a new (higher) belt. The situation should work well in your favor. You will be able to help your employer increase their production and eliminate waste, while they will reward you by offering you a more lucrative salary.
