One employment problem that many people have encountered involves a lousy boss. You may be lucky if you encounter a boss whom you like and are in perfect terms with. Sabotaging your job in order to get your boss sacked may be a good idea in your dreams, but this is not something that you should entertain in the real world. Look Introspectively

It is quite easy for many people to point an accusing hand to others, especially those that are not very likeable. But before you file a complaint against your slave driver manager, it is a great idea to look at yourself first. Try to determine if there are things that you are doing wrong which can be the reasons why your boss does not trust you with important assignments. If your boss seems to breathe on your neck quite often, the reason may be due to the fact that you are not doing your job well. If you do not want anybody to be checking on you all the time, then you are not cut out for employment. Even if your supervisor seems to wake up on the wrong side of the bed every day, it does not mean that he was created to make your life difficult. Before you complain, try to be the best employee that you can be.

Don’t Quit

Nowadays, you should always be thankful for your job because the employment market is very competitive. If the only reason you are thinking of quitting is your boss, then you need to take it easy and look at things in your boss’ perspective. If your manager keeps telling you to make your attire more appropriate for the office, then follow his dress code. Once you listen to your boss and do what he or she wants (so long as what he or she wants is legal and work related), there could be a marked improvement on how he or she deals with you.

Remember to Document Important Things

If you think that you are already doing a great job and you deserve a raise or a promotion, you can always talk with your boss about it. However, in order for your case to be more convincing, you might need some evidence that will show or highlight your performance. This is a piece of employment advice that you should always remember. Come to think of it, your boss cannot remember all the great things that you did for the whole year, so you have to remind him subtly when you have a meeting with him about your performance.
