Quality improvement teams are also known as excellence teams. These teams will consist of people who are chosen to deal with an issue or a problem that might be reoccurring. Quality improvement teams usually are temporary business teamwork efforts where employees will come up with solutions on how to repair a broken process or make improvements on things throughout the company like time reduction, increasing productivity, and more. A quality improvement team would be responsible for determining positive approaches to coming up with a faster billing option for customers.
Problem solving teams only last for a short period of time varying from one week up to two months. This type of business teamwork requires employees to get together to solve a problem quickly. The people involved in the team may be required to identify the cause of a problem and come up with effective solutions to permanently fix the issue. It may be recognized in a news station that a receiver is not working to its highest potential and causing a bottleneck in the systems. A group of people would be put together in a problem solving team to recognize the cause and determine the best way to fix it.
Natural work teams usually meet on a regular basis throughout the week. This type of business teamwork may include employees that are working on a project for a client. The lifetime of a natural work team may last for the duration of a project or it may have groups of employees teamed by department. This type of team groups skilled employees who might share similar tasks and responsibilities with the company. They will focus on employee involvement, quality circles, and identify ways to self manage. A common thing a natural work team might be working on would be rolling out a new software for the entire organization.
Business teamwork is required for a company to be successful. There are three types of teams that companies use to put people together to accomplish a task. These teams include quality improvement, problem solving, and natural work teams. Utilizing teams to accomplish improvements with an organization, resolving a problem, or completing a big project helps a business be successful by ensuring the highest levels of productivity possible.
