The True Cost of Six Sigma Training - How Much Would You Spend?

Six Sigma began as an initiative by the Motorola Corporation to improve quality on a small scale. Now, however, the process is a continuous improvement program that offers new methods, newer analysis tools, and better ways of finding and managing data and solving problems. In the late 1980s, Motorola was just looking for a way to improve their manufacturing process. Now, two decades later, they’ve saved themselves billions of dollars and spawned a method of doing so that is quickly taking the business world by storm. Just about any industry that has a process can benefit from Six Sigma Training & Certification. Many companies are capitalizing on that, while others are waiting for the next new ‘fad’ to die out.
The DMAIC principles of Six Sigma certainly apply here. The entire point of using Six Sigma these days is to improve processes, eliminate waste, and find better ways to do things. Without the right amount of education and Six Sigma Training, this will be very complicated to get into on your own. Some people are trained in the process by their employers, while others go out and pay for their own training for advancement in their company or as a start to a new career search. For those who pay for their own Six Sigma Training, the cost of the process can greatly affect which program they will choose to work with.
However, it is essential NOT to base the decision on cost alone. It is far more important to find a company that offers a great program and then figure out how much it costs. Find the balance between cost and quality that works for you. Once you have chosen the training program, you will need to consider what practical experience you have, if any. If you don’t’ have any real simulation experiences with Six Sigma or hands-on learning, you’ll end up having to do a simulation either virtually or in person before you can become certified.
Six Sigma Training, as it relates to the cost effectiveness of the program, is all about finding the right program for your needs. If you’re not sure what you need, a little research may be in order. However, if you’re fully prepared and ready to embark on your Six Sigma Training Journey, you’ll have no trouble getting the exact program that you need, as long as you’re willing to make the investment in the right Six Sigma Training Provider.
