Six Sigma training is a concept that aims at eliminating waste and reducing unnecessary expenses in production and service processes. In the measuring phase, the total cost of production is determined, this is then matched with the total number of process chains involved. In the analyzing stage, customer feedback regarding the products is evaluated, and any overrun costs incurred during the manufacturing process are identified. The improve phase highlights measures that can be adopted to minimize waste while still meeting the customers' needs.  The control phase is the final step, and it involves the implementation of the technique and waste reduction methods. A monitoring plan is enforced to ensure that all the changes are effected and followed through. It also deals with any deficiencies in the process.

Six Sigma training is significant especially in manufacturing companies which incur a high cost of production coupled with low productivity. Companies which have successfully embraced the DMAIC technique have experienced improved efficiency, and this in turn, means more profit. A Six Sigma Certification offers supervisory services to organizations; some costs are involved, but the benefits definitely will pay for the training tenfold in better productivity and profits for the business.
